"Googles? Headset? Video Thingy?"
What do you call it?!
When we introduce AppliedVR to patients, we tell them it's a virtual reality headset that plays a 360 degree 3D video to help reduce their anxiety or distract them from their pain.
The headset uses a smartphone to show the video while headphones deliver the sound. It's completely immersive and takes patients out of the exam room or pre-op bays to make them feel comfortable.
We call each video a virtual reality experience so when you look at the AppliedVR app, there's a menu of several experiences to choose from. Learn more details about each experience in this article on experiences.
